Moalosi to re-join Rollers?

Moalosi flew to the United States in August 2010 for studies that he has now finished. He was on a four-year scholarship that allowed him to study and play college football in the US.
Rollers’ secretary, Khumo Masonya said Moalosi would immediately start training with them when he arrives in the country. He claims the player still has a running contract with the club.
“He is our registered player. He has been away studying. He was only playing college football and not professional football. He is still our player so when he comes back, the expectation is that he will train with us,” Masonya said.
When he left for the US, Moalosi made it clear that he does not want to play for Rollers again.
A week after arriving in America, he told Mmegi Sport in a Skype interview that he had no intention of playing for any Botswana team. He spoke at a time when Rollers was hit by controversy over bonuses after it won a cup double in 2010. “I do not want to play for any Botswana team when I return. I want to work hard and play professional football. I really want to play football at a professional level this time around. I have to work hard because that won’t come easy,” Moalosi said then.
Contrary to Masonya’s claims, Moalosi said his contract with Rollers was coming to an end in 2011. “I want to play soccer when I finish school but I am not sure where I will play. I have a year left on my contract with Rollers but by the time I come back, that contract will be over. So I will have to make a decision,” the player said in 2010.
Moalosi has previously said he chose to go back to school to ensure security for his future “because football is a very short career and you never know what will happen tomorrow”.
Masonya said they are aware the 27-year-old player was been playing college football, but they are convinced he still has his touch as they have been monitoring him ‘all the time’.
Rollers’ fans will be hoping he still has his magical mazy runs on the wing after steering the team to the League and Coca Cola Cup titles in the 2009-2010 season.
He was deservedly named Coke Flair Player of the Tournament and Supporters’ Player of the Year. He considers that season his most memorable in football. He previously had a stint with the Orlando Pirates development team in South Africa before returning home to play for BMC.
