Moribame, Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) Head of Public Affairs, Marketing and Communications, left many surprised at her performance.

To usher in opening remarks from the BOCCIM President, Sheilla left the audience yearning to see more of the unknown talented singer in her when she belted out Bette Middler’s song, From A Distance. However, Shanti Lo, the main act for the event failed to amuse the audience who did not cheer during his performance.

He sang five songs, including a Zulu composition.

BOCCIM chief executive officer, Mariah Machailo-Ellis said the gala dinner event was organised to promote networking platforms for the business community locally and regionally to achieve investment growth.

“We will continue working hand-in-hand with stakeholders to develop the habit of continuously discovering new opportunities to create wealth and employment,” she said.

Over 200 corporate members gathered to network with and celebrate 28 years of the gala dinner experience.
