Uhuru produced the hit song and it is already making waves since being released only a few weeks ago. Forever is already available for download on iTunes and it will be launched soon. For those who do not know Speedy, he is one of the four band members of the renowned, Bongo Maffin.

The song is simply about a man declaring his love for his woman.  This is not the first time Speedy has worked with Uhuru as he was featured on his album titled “Our Father” and they worked on one of the hit songs called Ungowami.

Speedy also revealed that he will be visiting Botswana soon to launch his new single. Music lovers can also look forward to Speedy’s forthcoming singles that will be released in the coming months.

There will be seven songs, which he wishes to release, along with their videos.

“The response from fans so far has been great, the song has been out for five days and has been an instant hit on radio stations,” said Speedy. A music video for Forever single has been shot and will be released soon.

One of SA’s big stars, Donald, has been featured on Forever, too and Speedy told Showtime that he and Donald had been talking for a while about working together.  After the talks, Speedy sent Donald Forever and jumped at the opportunity to work with him.  In a recent interview, the SA star revealed that he met Botswana’s DJ Shimmy ‘Shimrock’ Siku through DJ Boogie Sid during his two-day tour with the legendary Bongo Maffin in Maun and Francistown.

“I have, of late, started working with Shimrock,” said Speedy. The new partnership between Shimrock and Speedy will be beneficial to the local music scene as he (Speedy) said that he is always open to collaborating with Botswana artists.  He has already talked to a few people about the possibilities.

This year, Speedy’s highlights include their sold out show at Botswanacraft a few months ago.

“I was happy to see a lot of our fans coming through to see our performance as Bongo Maffin at Botswanacraft,” he said. The successful musician advised aspiring artists to always believe in themselves and to have an open mind to learn new things.
