Mohyuddin leads Botswana to victory

World XI won the toss and was elected to field. Botswana opening batsmen, Mohyuddin and Karabo Motlhanka, started on a good note, taking quick runs that enabled them to have a good run rate.
Mohyuddin and Motlhanka’s early runs exposed the weaknesses within the World XI bowlers Parvez Sheikh and Shardul Desah as the batting team scored a number of boundary runs.
World XI’s disabled fielding system continued to suffer from Mohyuddin’s boundary and single runs, the batsman took advantage of every delivery as he displayed a fast game play that is normally expected in a T20 game.
The solid 81 run partnership was destroyed in the 11th over when Motlhanka was stumped by Aziz Mintoo walking out with 35 runs from 27 balls.
Akrum Chand came in to partner Mohyuddin, creating a short lived 58 run partnership that only lasted for seven overs but managed to score many runs as Chand was dismissed by Matlub Hussein through a catch by Sheikh.
Experienced all rounder, James Moses, partnered Mohyuddin in the last remaining two overs of the match.
Moses used his experience and managed to get 23 runs from 10 deliveries as Botswana closed on 172 runs in 20 overs, with Mohyuddin’s unbeaten 77 runs from 64 balls.
World XI started the second innings by losing their opening batsmen in the early stages.
Aziz Minto retired from the match due to an injury, while Ali Euaz was bowled out by Adithya Rangaswamy walking out with no runs from three deliveries.
Bodhi Shakrayboty and Rizwan Hamed revived the sinking World XI ship by forming a partnership that raised the team’s low run rate.
Botswana spinner, Mmoloki Mmoketsi, disabled the growing partnership when he bowled out Hamed in the 16th over walking out with 33 runs which was the highest score in his team.
The batsmen who followed after Hamed failed to penetrate the Botswana fielding system.
They failed to score competitive runs to overcome their rivals. At the end of the innings World XI had 110 runs from a lose of seven wickets and Botswana won the match by 62 runs.
