Five star Boy disconnects Motlakase

Boy scored three times in the first half and provided two assists as Rollers demolished Motlakase 5-0 for an 8-1 aggregate win.
The other two goals came from Motsholetsi Sikele and Kobamelo Kebaikanye. Rollers advanced to the semi-finals of the knockout competition to join BDF XI and Gaborone United (GU).
“The coach (Madinda Ndlovu) advised me to stay more upfront in order to get the goals.
He said I could only come back to assist when the team has lost possession, but my main role was more in attack,” Boy said after the game.
The player who has taken the Premier League by storm since joining Rollers at the beginning of the season said his teammates have made it very easy for him to fit in quickly.
Boy was named the man of the match despite being substituted with about half an hour left when he had already done the damage and ensured Rollers passage.
His first goal came three minutes into the game after he received the ball on the edge of the box.
He warded off a challenge from a defender, slotted brilliantly past Motlakase goalkeeper, Kagiso Rankabekwa. Before Motlakase could re-group, they were dispossessed a minute later and Rollers got their second goal, this time from Kebaikanye following another good run by Boy. Sikele scored the third in the 15th minute after being set up by Boy. At the time, Motlakase were trying all they could but found Boy, Sikele and Kebaikanye unstoppable. Boy then wrapped up his night with goals in the 38th and 45th minutes.
He said he was excited to score his first hat-trick at Rollers and relishes the prospect of finishing as the top goal scorer in the tournament.
“There is that opportunity to finish as the top goal scorer because we still have at least two more games to play. If I maintain my scoring form, then I can achieve that,” he said.
There are reports that Boy has caught the eye of South African clubs but he said this will not distract him. “I am not aware of those rumours, so they would not disturb me,” he added.
Despite the humiliation, Motlakase had some moments of brilliance but were let down by poor decision making upfront.
Pelaelo Hlabano in particular never hesitated in challenging Rollers’ defence while veteran Barulaganye Bolofete was solid in the midfield.
Boy is the second player to score a hat-trick in the competition this season after Nico United’s Richard Legwaila did the same against Mochudi Centre Chiefs last week.
The two players, together with Kebaikanye are the leading marksmen in the competition with three goals each. GU’s Benson Shilongo is second with two goals. BDF XI, Gaborone United and Rollers are through to the semi-finals.
The line-up will be complete when Chiefs and Nico finish their 16 minute business on November 26. The game was abandoned in the 74th minute on Monday when lights went off on Monday.
