Warrant of arrest issued for �absconding� MP Ngaka

Ngaka made headlines last year allegedly after a public fracas with his wife, who reports said he assaulted during the argument.

An assault docket against the legislator was opened.

However the matter was postponed last week as the couple said they were trying to reconcile.

The court postponed the matter to yesterday for the couple to give an update of their reconciliation.

However Ngaka did not attend prompting magistrate Makgoro to issue a warrant of arrest.

Meanwhile the state prosecutor Obakeng Tlhaodi of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) told the court that Ngaka was aware of the date set by the court and wondered why he could not make it.
