Different speakers at their Sunday rally in Naledi Square vowed to show support for Saleshando and his executive following a dismal performance in the recent general elections, noted that this was a testing time for the party. They, therefore, said it was time members stepped forward to show love for their president.

Nono Kgafela-Mokoka said there were some people who claimed that failure by their party to reach its target was the end of the BCP.  “I want to tell the people out there who think that our party is dead that we are in fact stronger than ever.

We still have trust in our party president and we will protect him when he gets attacked by some people whether social media or any forum. In fact our party is growing and this was shown by the numbers of people who voted it in this elections,” Kgafela-Mokoka said.

She said an increase of number of parliamentarians in the National Assembly did not mean a party was growing.  She said Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) should be careful since sympathy was not going to work for them in 2019.

“UDC has won by sympathy vote. In 2019 we wonder whether they will be using the same strategy or not.

I challenge them to release Gomolemo Motswaledi’s report so that we can know whether they lied or not.”

BCP publicity secretary, Taolo Lucas urged members not to mourn forever, but should rather stand up and campaign for their party.

“We must be calm and protect our party and the president when need arises.Let’s keep on talking politics of policies not the one, which is driven by propaganda.”

Meanwhile BCP youth league president Dithapelo Keorapetse stressed that his constituency in Selebi-Phikwe would keep on supporting their party president and they still believed that hewas a true leader.
