Magosi will have a little respite after their defeat to Nico United as they face a side that has not only been a tough nut to crack this season, but also had two free weekends before this match.

BMC, for the first time since the Mascom Top 8 inception, are not part of the competition this season and missed out on the past weekend’s action.

BMC are yet to lose a match this season, while Chiefs are blowing hot and cold. Chiefs were exposed at the back over the weekend, which saw Nico United score three goals in the second half.

It would be interesting to see how coach, Mike Sithole and his charges respond tonight against BMC.

Since the departure of Elvis Meleka and Arnold Chaka, Chiefs have looked disjointed especially defensively.

Chaka was a good leader and good game reader in the heart of the defence for Chiefs, something that seems to lack with the current crop of players.

Meleka also gave Chiefs midfield shape and provided protection to the defence.

In just two games, Chiefs have conceded six goals.

Before Nico United game, Chiefs were forced to come from behind against struggling ECCO City Greens to finish 3-3.

Against BMC, they face a side that has been ruthless upfront. Chiefs’ defence will have to be at their best if they are to go toe-to-toe with the likes of leading goal scorer, Sageby Sandaka and Kenanao Kgetholetsile.

BMC coach, Daniel Nare has turned BMC into an uncompromising side that boast some of the great attackers in the lead.

Tshepo Motlhabankwe and Amos Godirwang will be facing their former side for the second time since joining BMC.

However, captain Pontsho Moloi is expected to lead his side once again.

Bonolo Fraizer remains the top man up front although he could not take his chances against Nico United.

In other matches played tonight, Gaborone United (GU) and FC Satmos meet again for the second time in a space of four days.

GU have a psychological advantage going into this game following their convincing 3-0 win over the Selebi Phikwe side on Saturday in a cup competition.

This time they meet at the National Stadium. The duo face each other again this coming Sunday in the second leg of the Mascom Top 8 quarterfinals.

Nico United take on Notwane in Selebi Phikwe while Police XI host Motlakase Power Dynamos at SSKB Stadium.
