Deadline for submissions is today (October 30).

The contest is open to aspiring gospel singer between the ages of 20 and 30.

Moyo said auditions would be recorded and published on DVDs and through YouTube, Sound Cloud, and Reverb Nation.  Moyo explained that they are going to select 12 singers from the audition, who will take part in the Frank Lyn show.

He said the show would feature three categories being the music contest, discussion or presentation, and the pick a box segment. The unique talk show will be launched on November 16 at the National Museum. The finale is billed for March 28, 2015.

The winner of the singing contest will walk away with P30, 000, a recording deal, and a tour of Alberta, Canada, and Berlin in Germany.

Moyo explained that contestants will perform different songs on a weekly basis, in front of judges, adding that the contest will also accord the public an opportunity to vote for who they feel is the best performer.

He also said second and third prizewinners will not go home empty handed, as they will each win a music instrument.
