BISA North Zone organiser, Modiri Mokobela told Mmegi Sport yesterday that 62 sportspersons, who include officials would be recognised for their outstanding work.

“This year was a fruitful one for the North Zone. We scooped position one in both national ball sports and athletics competitions. That is why we found it prudent to award those who excelled this year,” Mokobela said.

“The awards will also serve as a motivating factor to those who have not won. It will encourage them to work hard and also win awards in future.”

Mokobela said that this year’s event is sponsored by Kalahari Breweries Limited and Line Feeds international.

“Line Feeds has sponsored the event to the tune of P30,000. The money is part of the P300,000 the company forked out to sponsor the North Zone last year for a duration of three years.

KBL will provide refreshments worth P11,000,” he said. Mokobela said that the sponsors will parade their products and services at Adansonia Hotel where the awards will be held. The display of products and services will last for the whole day before the awards take place. Line Feeds is a 100 percent citizen owned company own by Reuben Seoke. It deals in tarpaulin and canvas products. The awards will start at 6:00 pm.

Only juniors and senior secondary students participate in the BISA competitions, which are held annually.
