Closer to semi final berth: The Botswana cricket side is almost through to the four

Botswana is undefeated after four matches with two rounds to go before the end of the group stage.  Botswana has recorded victories over South Africa, Bangladesh, Pakistan and recently Sri Lanka to top the log. India is also unbeaten with six points from three games and is second.  The Botswana national team has a balanced, all round crop of players who are performing very well. Batsmen Saad Mohyudin, Karabo Mothlanka, Karabo Modise and rookie Rashaad Mosweu have been solid with the bat, all managing half centuries. Bowlers Thabang Nshomane, Thatayaone Tshose and the captain, Modise have been economic with the ball.

Modise has taken a wicket or two in every match he has played. All the teams including South Africa and the World XI have a chance of progressing to the semi-finals to be played on November 21. Even Bangladesh that has won only one game - against South Africa - have a chance of qualifying for the semis of the month long tournament. Botswana face India in what should be a thrilling top of the table clash next week Friday.  The tournament has attracted huge crowds after Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) and Gaborone Cricket Association (GCC) pleaded with the public to attend matches.
