A Grateful Experience

Needless to say, we thought that we would never get it back. On our return from South Africa a week later, we stopped at the Wimpy in Nata, just on the off chance that they had found the bag. I asked the manager about it, explaining our situation.

He said I was a very lucky woman as one of the staff had found the bag and handed it in. We couldn’t believe our good fortune.

The manager, Mr. Stephen said an employee named Ohimile Joel found the bag and handed it in to him. Mr. Stephen said he had given the bag to the owner, Mr. Cheenu, he called him whilst we were there.

Mr. Cheenu came and questioned me about the bag and its contents to confirm that I was the owner.

He handed it over to me and we were so very grateful for their honesty and assistance.

We would like to say a very big thank you to Mr. Stephen, Mr. Cheenu and Ohimile Joel.

There are some truly wonderful people here in Botswana. Sometimes life events challenge our faith in human nature, however, this experience has restored our belief. Being honest and truthful pays off and we are extremely grateful for these people’s actions.
