Limko stages glitz and glamour awards

The lifestyle event featuring a host of leading local music sensations. The University’s regional director of communications, Mercy Thebe spoke highly of the upcoming event.
She said: “ It will be filled with fun, creative and inspirational student activities that will revive the student life on campus that Limkokwing Botswana has been known for in the past years.
“We plan to make this event the most memorable, captivating and inspirational for students, and ensure that they end their year with the mother of all bashes.”
The event will showcase the glitz and glamour that Limkokwing events are synonymous with.
“We plan to invite local celebrities and lifestyle ambassadors from the entertainment industry to grace the event. This will also create an atmosphere where students can get a chance to mingle with their entertainment idols and take pictures that they will cherish for a lifetime.
“This will also demonstrate that Limkowing University’s student life is vibey and is complemented by style and substance.”
An interesting aspect of the line-up for the event is that the some current students and alumna will perform.
The event also has a fundraising aspect as it aims to raise funds for the student lifestyle account of the SRC Office. To promote socialising and interaction amongst students from different faculties and staff. Artists who will perform on the night include; Team Distant, Vee, Ozzy F. Teddy, Amanados, Mapetla, MMP Family as well as. DJs on the lineup are Chef Gustos and Izzy.
Student Performances will feature Twerk Queens- Poppy & Gorata, a fashion show by Gorata and Boitumelo, Limkokwing choir, among others.
A photo booth will be set up for the students to take pictures with friends and their favorite musicians. This is sure to create the moments that will leave lasting memories.
Awards will be given out as follows: Best Performing Student, Campus Fanatic, Craziest Hairstyle- By Students, Most Helpful Student, Most Outstanding Freshman, Best Dressed for the Night , Sports Personality of the Year, Most Popular Student, Best Student Ambassador, Best SRC Member, Most loved staff member, Most Active Student on Social Media-, Most Active Student on Social Media, among others.
