After shouting endless instructions from the touchline, he appeared frustrated that his efforts had not translated into victory.  “We lack aggression when attacking our opponents,” said the stout mentor who has been with the team for two years.

Sedumedi said his side relied heavily on defence instead of attack and only saw the need to score only after the opponent scored.

He said his charges should emphasise on defending and attacking in a game.

BDF V has been one of the best performing basketball teams on the domestic front. But the soldier dominated and BDF backed outfit has been a shadow of its former self since the beginning of the season.

Out of nine outings, the team has won only four and lost five to post one of its worst performances.  Even the speed of former Splinters player, Phofuetsile Leave has failed to spur the military men.  Sedumedi said he had no option but to scout for new talent next season after some of his stars left.

He said only three players in the team were part of the squad that competed last season. BDF V lost Pako Monageng to current  pacesetters, Spartans while Kesaobaka Ndowenye joined Dolphins.
