unch drunk Zebras are on the right path despite going four matches without a win, coach Peter Butler has said.
The Zebras were handed a tough draw in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, facing seven time champions, Egypt, former winners, Tunisia and 2002 World Cup quarterfinalists, Senegal. Butler has been on a rebuilding exercise, widening the pool of players. His mandate was to do well in the qualifiers and he believes he has achieved the target.
“The mandate was to qualify for the group stages which we have done. The target is the 2017 AFCON finals,” the Englishmen said.
After watching his side slump to a fourth consecutive defeat against Egypt last Wednesday, Butler was naturally disappointed.
“I was disappointed with the result but not the performance. We were much improved playing against a technically gifted side. We are on the right road. I am not panicking,” he said.  The Zebras have not scored in three matches. They only found the net once against Tunisia through captain Joel Mogorosi.

The focus now would be to continue the rebuilding process as the remaining two matches - at home to Tunisia and a trip to Senegal - are now academic.
