The two are said to have engaged in heated exchanges during a Premier League match at the SSKB Stadium over the weekend.

BFA chief executive officer, Keith Masters said he was unaware of the incident when contacted for comment yesterday afternoon.

“That’s news to me. I do not want to speculate as to what action will be taken if the report is true. If it is true we will have to sit the two down,” Masters said.

However sources close to the developments said the BFA is expected to take sterner action to instill discipline within its members.

“We have to put an end to all this. It is affecting the image of the association,” said the source. But Kgomela disputed reports of a fight with the former Township Rollers player.

“I never had an issue with Paul. I just greeted him, he was with coach, Peter Butler,” Kgomela said. Paul’s cell phone number was unreachable at press time. However, sources were adamant that the two exchanged harsh words, emanating from office issues.

“Paul feels the technical director is meddling in national team affairs when he is not supposed to.  “There is a big problem. Kgomela sees Paul as a threat. He does not want Paul to take over the Under-23 side, instead he prefers someone else,” said the source.

“I think there is a general problem regarding the technical director and national team coaches which has to be solved right away,” the source added.

The association is already battling to restore its battered image after several recent high profile fall-outs.

There was reported bad blood between Zebras coach, Peter Butler and Keith Masters while president, Tebogo Sebego was said to have clashed with former vice president, Ernest Nthobelang as well Masters.

At some stage there were reports of strained relations between coach, Peter Butler and Kgomela, which the association however denied.  The latest development has thrown down the gauntlet on Sebego to act decisively.
