Eric told Showbiz that he was hopeful he would be nominated again to compete with other musicians from around the world.

He said the nomination alone gave his music career mileage.

Kabiosi is a popular song from Eric’s latest album titled, His Worship, which was released earlier this year.

“I don’t want to be seen as someone who is not serious or takes competition lightly. When I submitted my song for nomination, I also submitted my music profile which I believe speaks volumes about my music journey.

I wanted to be very competitive and that’s why I sent the high standard profile,” he explained.

Eric shared that he had been previously nominated for the Outstanding Young Person of the World Awards in the Afro-tainment Musek Online and Africa Music Awards. He won the Best Religious Song in Africa award in 2011.

He pointed out that the United Kingdom based Christian organisation recognised  his musical contribution towards the Church, gospel music and African community, who enjoy the messages in his music.

Eric, who holds a degree in Population Studies and Sociology, advised young people to take education seriously as its key to their success in life.  “Young people should not just run into arts because they want money.

Instead, they must try by all means to complete school first.

Whether you have money or not, you will always need for a solid education, one way or another,” he said.
