Express Easy such as variety of envelope/ box sizes offered by DHL by its corner service point. These products will be used to package goods or documents and will determine the fixed prices offered by DHL.If successful, the project will spread to the rural areas of Botswana and across the continent. DHL Botswana Country Manager, Mokgethi Magapa stated that, “ The express logistics industry, and specifically retail services for consumers and small and medium enterprises are becoming hugely important in Botswana.”

He further said that for them to better service the market and open up global opportunities for students, small business owners and general consumers, they needed to both increase access to their express products but simultaneously making it easier and more affordable for consumers.

Magapa also revealed that they saw Engen as a better partner because they are an African business with an extensive retail network across the continent whilst DHL is a world leader in international express services so when two giants meet, the consumer will certainly benefit.

Employees of the six aforementioned service stations will undergo training on the project so as to better serve the consumers efficiently. Engen dealers will also receive support from DHL in terms of discounted prices, merchandising and training, The expansion of the project may be done in the first quarter of 2015.
