Murder suspects appear for another murder, robbery

The men were out on bail when they allegedly committed the latest offences.

The duo, Tshiamo Kgalalelo aged 30 years and Mmika Mpe 24 years old, allegedly killed Mmamosotho Disere near Kang village on October 7. 

They also allegedly robbed her of a 30.06 rifle worth P6,000 and a Toshiba laptop worth the same amount.

When the pair, who both hail from Werda, appeared before Gantsi Senior Magistrate Geseitsiwe Tonoki, for the latest offences on Monday he quickly remanded them in custody.

Magistrate Tonoki said he revoked their bail after they violated one of the bail conditions that they should not be suspects in any other criminal matter.

Kgalalelo and Mpe were in February granted bail after the murder of Johanna Voster at Farm No 44 at Okwa Valley.  There was uproar when the duo first appeared before former Principal Magistrate, Thabo Malambane in February. Malambane was fired after granting the duo bail and the case was transferred to a different magistrate. Then, the social media went viral when pictures of the men were posted.

The accused persons are expected to appear for mention in Hukuntsi on October 23, for the Disere case while they mention again in the Gantsi Magistrate Court for the Voster murder case on October 28.
