Motlaleng suffers another attack

On Saturday morning he found his dog ‘Danger’ dead and one of his March car tyres slashed. Motlaleng wrote on his Facebook Page: “And today I woke up to my shock and fear! Yes my guard dog killed, my campaign car tyre slashed (SIC).”

The Monitor team arrived at his homestead in Naledi to find the car already suspended on one side with a jack as the alleged slashed tyre was removed but there was no sight of the dead dog.

Motlaleng said he was surprised to find his car tyre slashed and his dog dead in a short space of time adding that he only rested for a few hours as he arrived home at night from a vigil in the neighborhood.

Motlatleng explained that he was still trying to comprehend what happened to his dog and the car, more especially that his dog was okay when he arrived and that it had not shown any signs of illness prior to its mysterious death.

Quizzed on who he suspects, Motlatleng said that he had no one in particular that he suspects but added that he just takes the whole situation as a minor intimidation from those that might want to see him quit or even move from Naledi North.

“Last month’s attack was different because that time I was very certain about my attackers as prior to that I had information that such a thing might happen to me but today’s attack on my dog and car its different because it might have come from anyone including those I am contesting against,”, he said.

He further said that he was reluctant to report the matter as he was still awaiting the update of his previous case but added that he would still take the matter to the police even though he had already decided to replace his tyre and bury the dog, as there was no point in keeping it.

Motlaleng was last month kidnapped from his house in the wee hours and transported to some location where he was tortured and allegedly electrocuted before he was found lying in a trench outside his house.
