The Serowe based outfit tops the log with nine points from as many matches after registering two victories and three draws.

Kazungula Young Fighters, who are back in the First Division after a stint in the unfashionable Division One, are second with eight points and also enjoying good early season form.

They have managed two wins including a home victory against former Premier League side TAFIC in the league opener. The team also recorded one loss and two draws.

Mahalapye Hotspurs are hot in pursuit with eight points, just behind Young Fighters on goal difference.

Green Lovers, TASC and Palapye All Stars are fourth, fifth and six respectively having managed seven points each but separated by goal difference.

It looks like it will be a better season for TASC who in the past few seasons endured poor form throughout. The club signed a few youngsters in the off-season in a bid to improve its fortunes and the trick seems to be working.

Traditional mid-table side Amakhosi are in familiar territory in seventh. Like the log leaders the Kgapamadi based outfit has also turned itself into draw specialists having drawn three out of five matches and recording a single loss.

Debutants Tsabothe FC who are eighth, have not done badly with five points, having managed one victory, two losses and two draws from five outings.

Maun Tigers who struggled last season have the same number of points as Tsabothe and are on position nine because of a poor goal difference.

It appears as if TAFIC will not make quick return to the elite league.

The Francistown based outfit has managed a paltry five points which sees them 10th. To make matters worse TAFIC are also yet to appoint a coach five games into the season.

Tonota FC, have failed to replicate their pre-season form in the league. They are currently second from bottom in the 12-team league with four points from five outings.

For the second season running former Premier League outfit Great North Tigers (GNT) have failed to hit the ground running. Tigers bring the rear with four points from their five games. It appears that the club will be fighting relegation like last season.
