Man found dead in Area W

Tati Town Police Station Commander superintendent Cyprian Magalela confirmed the incident to Mmegi. He said that the case was reported to them in the wee hours of Saturday.

“It is true that we are investigating a case in which a man was found lying near the flyover in Area W. The case was reported to us in the early hours of Saturday at around 6: 45am. “Upon the police arrival at the scene, they took the deceased to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital where he was certified dead,” Magalela said.

Magalela said they have not yet established what might have caused the death of the deceased.

The station commander also said that they are still to arrange for the deceased’s post mortem in order to establish the cause of his death.

He said they have not yet caught anyone in connection with crime. He said immediately after establishing the cause of the death they will decide the way forward of the matter.

Magalela continued to say that they were not in a position to reveal the names of the deceased because they wanted to inform his parents and relatives about the matter before they could publicise it.

Meanwhile, Magalela said that such cases are very rare in his area. He said that this was the first to be registered this year.

He said that the issues related to this one that are normally encountered in Area W include murder, whereby people fight at the bars.
