Anger greets Yune ban

Batswana betsho I also noted with disbelief the reports that president Boko’s friend and Hollywood star Rick Yune and his girlfriend have been placed on a visa requirement. They are now part of the fast growing list of people from countries whose citizens would normally not require a visa to enter Botswana, who are systematically kept out of the country by the current regime. We know that applying for the visa would be a waste of time, because the outcome has been predetermined.

Is this acceptable at all that the regime picks and chooses who enters the country and those who are perceived as friends of the opposition are kept out of our borders? I am fed up with this kind of abuse of power and I know many of you are, so lets express this anger through our votes in a few weeks to come. Make you vote count and vote for change. We have to put an end to this madness.

The government has from today put Rick Yune and Jennifer Lindsey Bell under visa requirement like the likes of advocate Gordon Bennett of the UK and Julius Malema of South Africa. This is irritating and intolerant. I am personally fed up with this dictatorial regime. President Robert Mugabe is much better.

Hollywood Actor Rick Yune and his British girlfriend Jennifer Bell, have been asked by Minister of Labour and its being issued by PS to the President Eric Molale, to apply for a visa to enter Botswana. Yune is a friend to UDC President Duma Boko, who included him on the guest list for his presidential launch this weekend in Gaborone.

Since when do Americans and British citizens require visas to enter Botswana unless they have criminal records?

Tell your semi-literate president [Ian Khama] that Rick Yune is Bill Clinton’s personal friend and Clinton is Bill Gates’s personal friend and they all have influence on President Barack Obama. America will stop aiding us with ARVs and many other things we get from them.
