Saleshando betrayed us � Motshwarakgole

Motshwarakgole stated that Saleshando is now on the ‘hit-list’ at the launch of the parliamentary candidate for Gaborone Central Phenyo Butale’s last Saturday.
“The reason why he is supposed to be punished is that he has betrayed us,” said the veteran unionist.
“Again he is the one who said any party that pulls out from opposition cooperation should be punished. This is the time that Saleshando should know best. We are the ones who formed Umbrella and there is no party which can claim that it represents workers better when it is not part of the Umbrella,” Motshwarakgole said.
He said they are in a position to play a video in which they recorded Saleshando making the utterances to the effect that any party that does not enter the umbrella should be punished. Motshwarakgole pleaded with residents of Gaborone Central to vote for Butale.
He said the reason why Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) President Ian Khama is number one on their list is because during the mother of all strikes in 2011, he made it clear that he does not care about workers even if they go on strike for five years.
“He continues undermining Public Service Bargaining Council (PSBC),” said the BOFEPUSU organising secretary.
Meanwhile UDC secretary general Wynter Mmolotsi told the well attended launch that as an advocate for media freedom, Butale would best serve the interests of Gaborone constituents in Parliament.
“Butale ke ene motho yo o neng a re thusa thata ka nako ya media bill. Saleshando o isitse motion ko palamente morago ga a sena go tlhathelelwa ke Butale. Nako ya gagwe mo palamenteng e fetile (Butale helped us a lot at the time of the Media Bill. Butale is one who guided Saleshando to push for an information bill. His time (Saleshando’s) in Parliament is done),” Mmolotsi said.
