Mom shows Masilo love with chocolate goodies

She stands by her son, never missing a single day of trial or mention.

Victoria even makes sure that her son sees the brighter side of life whereby he is able to smile and laugh in her presence.

On Thursday, Masilo’s mother showered the 22-year-old with love in court, giving him chocolates.

She gave her son the treat at the Village Magistrate Court, where Masilo is appearing for his ongoing trial for rape and robbery at Phase IV in Gaborone.

Mother and son were seen chatting, sharing a light moment and laughing while waiting for the Chief Magistrate, Linah Oahile-Mokibe. The mother of the former Botho University and St Joseph’s College whispered pleasantries to her son, assuring him of everything being well.

“Do not worry my boy, God is there,” she said. Masilo’s lawyer, Kgosietsile Ngakaagae, is expected to submit his final cross-examination, on the last state witness on October 13, when the case resumes.

Masilo is alleged to have raped and robbed a woman at her home in Phase IV, causing her grievous bodily harm in the process. He is also facing a murder charge in a separate case already committed to the High Court. The trial date for the murder case has not been set.
