According to  fashion designer, Chalebgwa,the summer collection’s name San In The City, is  a play on the glamorous look of the “sex in the city “woman who are characters who live in New York. “ The inspiration came from juxtaposing traditional San or Sesarwa clothing mainly the capes and apron skirts (also the use of cracked look fabric is reminiscent of the dry Kalahari desert ground) with sophisticated and chic fabrics and silhouettes representing the “in the City” aspect.”.
