Some people suffered serious stab injuries as security struggled to control the irate fans. The fracas started when Majalisa came on stage. Some people who had converged outside the club then took advantage of the confusion to force their way into the show.

“It was just fine until I started playing the song Batsha, one of their favourites. People started throwing beer bottles in the air in excitement but this angered others who started fighting and stabbing each other,” she told Showbiz. Majalisa believes the organisers of the last show did little to tighten security and has assured her fans of their safety at her next one.

She will perform at the Horizon Deep garden on October 2 before travelling to Jwaneng for another show the following day.  The charismatic singer famed for hits such as Uwe and Siselethina has promised her fans a good show without any hitches. “We are tightening security because these are my own shows. We shall also be working with the police,” she said. Majalisa, who parted ways with long-time producer Dan Tshanda last year, leads a line-up of artists that includes Afro-pop sensation Slindile of Uyinkosi fame, Ludwe Maki who recently released Ziphi Nkomo and Nikie Nikie. Local disco rising stars Skokovia Kgosietsile and Khoza Kehakgametse will also feature in the concert.
