A band and jubilant party supporters escorted the group from the main road. They were given a standing ovation when they arrived inside the massive tent.  The colourful rally showed that Ntuane doesn’t underestimate his political opponents. His message was loud and clear, “I am in this game to win.”

To demonstrate his streetwise savvy nature, he invited South African kwaito group, Trompies, to entertain the large crowd. The quartet comprising Jairus Khuse, Zyne Sibika, Mandla Mofokeng and Eugene Mthethwa did not disappoint as they performed some of their favourite hit songs. They took to the stage with the popular song, Sweety Lavo, which sent the crowd into a frenzy.

Other songs like Sigiya Ngengoma and Magasman set the mood for the celebratory atmosphere, especially when Ntuane took to the stage and danced with the group. In 2009, Ntuane brought crowd favourite Splash to perform at his launch. Ntuane will battle it out with Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC)’s Ndaba Gaolathe and Abby Chengeta of the Botswana Congress Party (BCP).
