The tour is expected to cover more than 84 villages and towns with an estimated 4,971 kilometres  to be covered from today  and ending with a super star rally on October 18 a few days before election day.

The BCP tour bus is branded with BCP colours and is marked “Re a fenya.” The bus has caused much conversation.

The bus has a toilet, mini kitchen, two doors and a small fridge. One door is used by party members while another is for party leadership.

Throughout their journey, they will be holding mini political rallies as the BCP takes itself to Batswana in grand fashion.

The 60 seater bus has aircon, three full time employees who are paid by BCP and a team of more than 10 people who will be travelling with it including its president Dumelang Saleshando.

It is escorted by two party vehicles including one carrying sound equipment such as a small stage, microphones and party campaign material and other items they might need while travelling. According to the BCP president Saleshando their target is to reach out to people and their party members in all corners of the country.

Upon leaving Gaborone on Saturday the BCP tour bus was escorted by close to 10 vehicles and was welcomed by hosts of BCP supporters at Boatle village, as it made its way into Ramotswa, where the bus was met by a well arranged motorcade of two motorbikes, three kombi’s and another 10 vehicles all packed with party faithfuls.

The BCP for 10 minutes painted Ramotswa with their lime colour. Most people gathered at their mini rally to get messages while some were shocked and wanted to know where the BCP is getting money for the grandstanding.
