Pokello also revealed in a statement that she has spent a a year studying shoe design, learning and understanding the logistics that come with the business.

She said that the first 30 samples are now ready, 13 pairs of which will go to the female housemates of The Chase.

She was quoted saying, “who better to criticise the comfort and quality than my girls who nominated me week in and week out, lol.

The first collection has 10 different colours and is also named after 10 of the female housemates”.

For her part, Motamma told Showbiz that when she got the news she was proud of  her former housemate’s achievement.

“I am glad I made an impact enough in her life to have a colour named after me,” she said.

Quizzed on her relationship with the Zimbabwean star, Motamma bluntly said, “It was lovely.  She sees me more of a sweet sister, and yes we do talk, here and there”. Giving her advice to this year’s representatives, Motamma said: “I know everyone who is representing us but as it’s a norm, I won’t say ‘till Biggy himself reveals them.

“It would be my first time watching BBA this season,

I went there clueless.  So now I’ll get to see what every viewer sees,” she said. Other housemates who inspired the colours in the shoe line are; Namibian former housemate Maria, called Ria Rouge, and Zambian housemate Cleo, whose shade is given the name Cleo Ice.

Although she had a love-hate relationship with Tanzanian musician Feza Kessy, Pokello did not leave the My Papa songstress out, christening her colour Kessy Mint.

The ninth season of BBA, Hotshots, is expected to kick-off this week following a mysterious fire that led to M-Net postponing the launch of Africa’s biggest reality show.
