Morapedi’s last game was against Extension Gunners in Lobatse on Saturday when Notwane lost 1-0.

Rabalago who has been Morapedi’s assistant as well as the youth team coach is now at the helm. His first assignment is against defending champions, Township Rollers tonight at the National Stadium.

According to the club spokesperson, Podi Mooki, Rabalago will be given time to try and bring the team back to winning ways before they can even think about hiring someone.

Notwane have won only one game against Gaborone United (GU) since the beginning of the season. They then lost to Police XI, BDF XI, Gunners and Mochudi Centre Chiefs. After the loss to Gunners, Notwane executive committee convened a meeting on Tuesday in which the technical department was the agenda.

The committee was in agreement that the results were not forthcoming and took a decision to part ways with Morapedi.

Morapedi joined Notwane last season and managed to rescue the team from relegation. Podi said they would have liked to have better pool of players but the state of finances did not allow. He said Morapedi had wanted to sign some players but had to work with the current pool of players.  “The first game gave us morale. Even the second game we played well despite the loss but things did not work as far as the results are concerned. We needed to start afresh hence the decision to part amicably with him and rope in Rabalago,” he said.
