Scheduled for release next month, the album is expected to have six tracks recorded in vernacular except for two, Immortal and Unconditional. It is easy to understand the message the artist conveys through her music  because of its simplicity.

Some of the tracks on the album are Igwe, Mama, Pekesa and the title track, Pepe. Tyte believes the album Pepe will enhance her stauts as one of the best house kwasa artists in Botswana.

Since, she said, her title as the best house kwasa singer and dancer in Botswana has not yet been challenged Tyte said she is taking advantage of this by releasing another hot album to continue raising the bar.

She further noted that she has worked on the album for more than a year because she wanted to give her audience a refined product that will be loved by everyone who hears it.

“I have been working on this album for a year now.  It was because I had many problems or obstacles to record it, but just wanted to thoroughly work on it, so that I first get a feel of it.  After being satisfied that is when I went straight to the studio to record a refined product,” Tyte told Showbiz.

The songbird said that she has been in the music industry for many years.   Therefore, she said, she has to demonstrate growth everytime she releases an album.

She added that she has been touring the country, sampling her forthcoming album. The title track Pepe, Unconditional and Igwe (God) hvae been very well recieved. She pointed out that she has learnt that her music attracts a diversity of listeners, proving that music is a universal language and does not need one to understand it.

Tyte said: “My albums are in Setswana, including the new Pepe album, but everywhere I perform whether here, or beyond the borders.  The audience goes crazy in appreciation of my music. Like when im in South Africa and Namibia recently where I mesmirised the audience with my Setswana song.”

She said she is proud of what she has achieved as a musician so far, and wants to be serious about marketing her music in more lucrative markets outside Botswana, like in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Nambibia and South Africa where she has already staged some impressive shows.
