He said the plan is to play just one season in the Debswana First Division South League.

Despite the Gabane based team having gone two games without a win, Ranku told Mmegi Sport that he aimed for a top spot finish.

“We are not here to stay and our primary objective is to bounce back to the be MOBILE Premier League next season, to achieve this I have to prepare my players for the tricky battles against our opponents and they also have to seriously pull up their socks,” said Ranku.

While admitting loosing valuable points was worrying, Ranku, however insisted that it was not a train smash considering that they lost against another former premier league side, Mogoditshane Fighters and drew against another experienced team, Prisons XI.

Ranku noted that both teams are also on the premier league return mission.

Playing in both leagues, said the coach, has given them valuable insight in the differences and levels of play.

“We have been playing in the premier league, now we are at first division where we see a completely different conditions and style of play which could deny us important wins.

This is a totally different environment and I expect my players to adapt to it very fast in order to avoid disappointment at the end of the season,” said Ranku.

He said he has observed that in the first division, teams play power ball.

“Here (first division) they don’t give you space as they play man to man style of marking, when they have the ball they kick forward to score …sometimes their ball will be touched by two players then the net, because of their power play.

With this kind of play, they force you to make many mistakes which they would capitalise on,” added Ranku.
