Barclays warns clients

In a statement, the bank said that it takes all necessary steps to protect customers against fraud as it has a card monitoring system, which enables them to detect suspicious transactions. In the event of such, Barclays says that customers are called to confirm the transactions. In cases where the customers are not reached, an SMS is sent to notify them about the transaction and request them to verify it through their call centre or the nearest branch. The bank also advised its customers not to use an ATM machine if they notice anything unusual indicating it may have 
been tampered with and also to avoid using the ATM if there are any suspicious looking individuals.
