Gunners’ coach, Dragojlo Stanojlovic has been under immense pressure since his side was humiliated 7-0 in the Kabelano Charity Cup by rivals, Township Rollers. Some Gunners supporters felt he got his tactics and selection wrong which handed them their worst defeat in many years.

He went on to lose the first league match against Chiefs before playing to a 1-1 draw against Rollers. Things got worse when Gunners lost to new comers, BR Highlanders.

However, Stanojlovic’s boys bounced back against rookies, Letlapeng in the last game before the international break.

They now face Notwane who have also been on the receiving end.

Toronto kicked off the season with an exciting 3-2 victory over Gaborone United (GU) and look set to be a force to reckon with this season. Since then they have not won a single game, losing to Police XI, BDF XI and Mochudi Centre Chiefs.

Against Chiefs, Notwane were brilliant in the midfield with Keorapetse Seloiso, Kgaodi Odirile and Thabo Mbole neutralising all attacks until the second half. They also looked dangerous on the wings where Emmanuel Machinya and Lemogang Maswena were playing, but they seemed to struggle in front of goal. Interestingly, Gunners have also not been brutal upfront having only scored three goals so far.

Gunners have however been boosted by the return of goal poacher, Pako Modikwa who proved deadly when he was at the club last season on loan.

He went back to BDF XI at the end of the season but the two sides struck a deal on the eve of the transfer window deadline, allowing Modikwa to go back to Gunners. He is likely to partner, Nsongamali Shabby.

In other games tomorrow, Nico United take on Motlakase Power Dynamos in Selebi-Phikwe, Letlapeng host FC Satmos at Molepolole Sports Complex while struggling ECCO City Greens meet visiting Orapa United in Francistown.

On Sunday, BDF XI and BMC lock horns at SSKB Stadium while GU take on Sankoyo Bush Bucks in Molepolole. In the only game tonight, BR Highlanders play Police XI at the Serowe Sports Complex.
