Industrial Court interdicts Btv in Ntopolelang case

The court will hear the merits of the case today (Tuesday). “Yes I am back at work in Btv as I speak. I will return to MMEWR if the court says my employer acted fairly. I reported to work today (Monday). The mood is fine and I am only waiting for my bosses to give me work,” Ntopolelang said. Ntopolelang made urgent application to court last week, accusing the Btv of unfair transferring him to MMEWR as a principal public relations officer. He believes his superiors effected the transfer in haste, and failed to follow procedure. Furthermore the transfer was calculated to deny him promotion and was politically motivated. Ntopolelang told Mmegi last week that it appeared his problem emanated from assumptions by Information Broadcasting management, specifically deputy permanent secretary Mogomotsi Kaboyamodimo that he was pro-opposition. However Kaboyamodimo has dismissed the allegation. Kaboyamodimo said he was aware of the interim of order. “We respect the decision of the court” Attorney Mboki Chilisa represents Ntopolelang.
