Immediately after the bout, his coach Thebe Setlalekgosi said he represents the future of Botswana boxing.

“The small Bagwasi is the best boxer in the country; he has been outstanding. You cannot talk about the future of boxing and not mention this boy,” Setlalekgosi told Sport Monitor.

He hailed the boxer for following instructions.

“He is the best listener, he listens and follows instructions. For him, it does not start from the tournament. It starts in January at the gym. He comes to the gym, even if you say 12 at midnight, he will be the first to arrive. His commitment is amazing and that is the difference with the other boys. If you look at his record, you will see he has attended all the club tournaments,” Setlalekgosi said.
