Popa as Rollers are popularly called, have had a relatively average start but their 7-0 win on Friday raised hope that the club may slowly be getting to its best form.

On Friday the team dominated proceedings displaying a neat passing game.

“There is still a long way to go. We played like champions. It is still early to say that the players have reached their full potential, but they are getting there,” Ndlovu said in an interview with this publication after the match.

There have been some sections of the supporters who have expressed doubt about the club’s prospects under Ndlovu this season, but the coach feels that criticism towards him is unjustified.

In fact he feels that the win has done nothing to endear him to his critics as some pundits believe.

“I have done enough for the club. I have given them the championship what do they want me to give them? In fact last season we had a very poor start than this season, but still we won the championship.

“So their criticism towards me is unfair. I have won everything in this country I know what I am capable of,”said Madinda.

Rollers Chairman Jagdish Shah early this week defended Ndlovu in the media saying the club is justified to have a coach of Ndlovu’s calibre as records show he has done relatively well since taking over at the club.

Apart from winning the league last season, Ndlovu guided Rollers to the Mascom Top 8 finals where they lost to BDF XI. Last month they were the toast again when they clinched the Barclays Kabelano Charity Cup.

So far Rollers have collected seven out of a possible nine points in the league and trail leaders, Mochudi Centre Chiefs by four points.
