Diva Vebrok robbed

Narrating her story to Showbiz Diva Vebrok said she went to Phase II to collect performing attire for her dancers, as she was scheduled to perform at the BaIsago University College Fresher’s ball that night.
She said as soon as she got into her car from the house she was shocked when the car window shuttered, and before she could react a group of boys surrounded her car and instructed her to get out.
She said the thieves forced open the door on her side, and pulled her out of her car.
“They opened the door and forced me out of the car saying I must give them all that I have. They threatened me saying that if I delayed I will regret it,” Vebrok said.
Vebrok said one of the perpetrators pulled out a knife and put it on her neck and threatened to cut her throat, if she did not cooperate.
“He said that he would cut my throat if I screamed or played any funny tricks. He pulled me far away from the car,” Vebrok said. She highlighted that she was with one of her male dancers Tawanda Jiyane, who could not do anything because the thieves told him that should he try fighting them they would stab him to death. “When they pulled me out of the car I had a bag with my phones, passport, bank cards and money.
They cut its handles with a knife before going away with it, they also took some bags, clothes and phones belonging to my crew,” Vebrok said.
Gaborone West police station confimed the incident, saying that last weekend many people reported the same incidents from Phase II, and for Vebrok’s case one young man was arrested and released yesterday as there was no evindence connecting him to the incident.
