The much-anticipated 52kg flyweight bout between fancied Oteng ‘Terrible OT’ Oteng and Motsebe Keaoboka lived up to expectations and was one the best fights in the tournament.

Oteng narrowly beat Keaoboka 2-1 after the underdog put up a spirited fight.

The Bagwasi brothers, Kabelo and Kagiso dominated their bouts.

Kabelo of DTCB easily defeated Mokobeng Motlatsi of EMG 3-0 in the quarter-finals on Saturday while his brother knocked out Mokwena Kabelo of EMG.

Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) public relations officer, Mmaotho Segotso told Mmegi Sport yesterday the two-day competition produced quality boxing.

“The overall performance of our boxers was good because most of the bouts were interesting, including those featuring inexperienced boxers,” Segotso said.

Boxers are fighting to book a place in the Best of the Best Keone Mooka Mageu Championships to be held later this year.
