The Serbian mentor has been under immense pressure since the 7-0 defeat to Township Rollers in the Barclays’ Kabelano Charity Cup.

He went onto lose the first league match against Mochudi Centre Chiefs before playing to a draw against Rollers in the second game.

Things went from bad to worse when his side lost to new comers, BR Highlanders a fortnight ago.

Against Letlapeng, Stanojlovic decided to leave Topo Piet on the bench and started up front with Moemedi Moatlhaping and Shabby, while Monaneng Thaele and Kelelelo Kgosimore operated on the wings. Kgosimore in particular gave Letlapeng a torrid time with his speed on the right.

Despite not creating any clear cut chances in the first half, Letlapeng managed to contain Gunners in the midfield and gave them little room to move.

It nearly paid off until Shabby’s incredible goal just five minutes into the half time break.

Shabby had moments earlier wasted a rare opportunity, shooting wide despite finding himself with a lot of space in the box. His well-taken shot separated the two sides at half time.

In the second half, Letlapeng made changes, introducing Tshegofatso Chimuku for ineffective Wellington Maposa. Chimuku immediately got involved and Letlapeng began making dangerous runs into Gunners area.

His partnership with Bakang Jori was now a constant threat to Gunners defence and Jori got his chance to equalize in the middle of the second half but Gunners goalkeeper, Dikago Wagare responded quickly. In other match played yesterday, Orapa United defeated Motlakase Power Dynamos 2-0.
