Sweet Revenge For BDF Women

The Friday revenge was even sweeter because it was their first win of the season.
They lost to their bitter rivals Police V in the opening game before a narrow loss to Dolphins and UB Relics. But on Friday they finally got it right with an improved performance. The beleaguered BDF V was out of the blocks quite fast, attacking their opponents from the start.
They kept their backline tight, only conceding two baskets in the opening quarter and proved prolific in attack.
BDF led 19-2 at the end of the first quarter. They did not slow down in the second quarter, as they continued to pile pressure on their opponents.
Dolphins also put up an improved showing as they increased their tally to nine while the soldiers made it 37.
The halftime pep talk seemingly instilled a fresh fighting spirit in Dolphins. They battled hard and won the third quarter 12-6.
The army side wrapped up a memorable victory with a 17-13 win in the fourth quarter. In their other match, Dolphins narrowly lost 47-46 to UB Relics. Troopers burst Police V men’s bubble after handing them their first defeat of the season.
Troopers proved too strong, beating them 64-34 on Saturday.
