Nhete was offloaded by GU just a game into his three-year deal with the club last week over poor performance. The goalkeeper was blamed for the Reds’ 3-2 loss in the opening game of the season against Notwane.

However, BMC are convinced the Zimbabwean custodian can guard their goals well.  The player confirmed the new deal that sees him reunited with the club he played for two seasons ago when they were still based in Lobatse.

“I have signed for BMC and I am looking forward to the challenge,” Nhete told Mmegi Sport.

He said he will still press with case against GU for unfair dismissal.

BMC manager, Nelson Radijeng said Nhete will have to prove himself over the next four months though he questioned why GU would write off a player after just one game.

“He was our player; he had to go back (to Zimbabwe) when he had problems. We were also on the look-out for a goalkeeper and he came to us to said he was available. We know him and know his capabilities so we decided to sign him.”

Radijeng said they were not concerned that the player joins them against the backdrop of a nightmarish short stint with GU.

“We are not concerned about that. Why would GU judge a player after just one game? Yes he conceded three goals, but was it entirely his fault?” Radijeng questioned.

He said the player established himself well during his first stint at BMC two years ago. He believes the goalkeeper will do well at the club.

Nhete joins several other signings at BMC that include returnee Kenanao Flo Kgetholetsile, Kabo Rasuping, Tumisang Sekanonyane, Matthews Moruti, Mpho Kgaswane and Moses Sekgwane. Moruti and Kgaswane are on loan from GU.

They have also added some little known names like David Tshweu, Tshepo Baipoledi, Thabo, Tshepo Basekeng, Thapelo Nteta and Emmanuel Ditodi to their squad.
