UDC president Duma Boko made the claim after the efforts of their legal experts to retrieve the cellphone communication history were frustrated by the networks.

Boko alleges that they heard that Motswaledi’s communications have disappeared. He, however, asserted that their legal experts are working to retrieve the data.

Following Motswaledi’s death on July 30 2014, legal experts engaged by the UDC approached mobile network companies to retrieve his communication history but their efforts hit a snag. They were apparently turned away and informed the late politician’s communication history has been deleted.

“If they do not avail his communication record, we will instruct our attorneys to approach the courts,” Boko told The Monitor.

The legal experts engaged by the UDC are human rights lawyers Dick Bayford, Unoda Mack, Tshiamo Rantao and Mboki Chilisa.
