A fashion show with a difference

The Riverwalk Fashion show on Saturday was not glamorous but still made a good impression. Staged on the South Parking lot of the popular mall, the event attracted people from all walks of life. There was no red carpet, no flash lights but just a simple style on a makeshift stage in the vast open space.

The models seemed to enjoy the beautiful African sun. Modeling brands from modest shops such as CB stores and JB Sports, the nine tall women and two men demonstrated a cool demeanor and closely guarded confidence. The models of different sizes and shapes strutted their stuff on the white stage sprinkled with an assortment of flower petals. They kept the excited audience guessing how they would look in the next round. The outfits also varied from cooperate attire, summer wear and leisurewear.

The real fun came when the female models paraded in an assortment of tight jeans with skimpy tops, mini skirts, soccer jerseys and machesa sneakers. The male contingent of the crowd seemed to especially enjoy the view as the ladies paraded in exposing tops, their flat stomachs an attractive force.
