Kanda Bongo Man to launch Vebrok�s DVD

Vebrok invited Kanda Bongo Man, whom she has worked with for some time now. She told Showbiz said that they are working on a single, that will be released soon.
“I have been working with Kanda Bongo Man. He is the one who introduced me to DRC and also helped me get a live playing band from there,” said Vebrok.
The house musician said she has shared the stage with Kanda Bongo Man while on her many visits to the DRC .
“He liked my music and dance. That is why we agreed to do a single for the album together. We will be performing it at the launch,” Vebrok said.
She said the self-styled King of Rhumba-Kwasa, famous for his songs Monie, Yolanda, JT, Congo and Africa, is internationally acclaimed and many people love his music, including Batswana which is why she is bringing him for a live performance.
Vebrok said she is happy the famous artist has accepted her invition, as this will boast her lineup of artists to launch her first ‘baby’ (album).
“I am so excited that he has agreed to perform and help me launch my product Re Mo Dilong DVD, which I consider my first step towards bigger things,” said the songbird.
She said although age has taken its toll, Kanda Bongo Man’s last performances proved he is still going strong and commands a large fan base.
Vebrok also emphasised that she will have a very powerful and tantilising lineup. She has also invited other popular acts from South Africa, who she said have committed to performing at the launch. She added that new dance group, Smangori of Ytjukuja, will also be performing on the day.
“I entered the music industry 10 years ago, and that is why I want to launch it in style; so that it makes an impact and makes for everlasting memories. I believe that music being business, quality should not be compromised,” said Vebrok.
According to the How Can I Kill singer, the event promises to entertain fans with world-class performances.
