Moyana is back at Chiefs after a season long loan with South African Premiership side, Polokwane City.

“Yes it is true that Rollers have written to us asking for permission to speak to the player and we made it clear in our response that he is not for sale,” Chiefs’ spokesperson, Clifford Mogomotsi told Mmegi Sport yesterday.

Mogomotsi said they have not received any offers from outside the country for the player but they have engaged professionals abroad to try and search for opportunities.

Rollers confirmed writing to Chiefs to request permission to speak to the player, but said they have not received a response. “We are still awaiting their response,” Rollers’ official, Motshegetsi Mafa said.

There were reports that the player had asked Chiefs to release him to Rollers. Mafa said if indeed that happened, then it is an issue between the player and Chiefs.

He said Rollers are waiting for Chiefs’ response and will only talk to the player after getting permission.

Mogomotsi could not shed light on whether Moyana has requested a move to Rollers and concurred that such issues are internal matters between the club and its player.

He however, mentioned that contractual obligations should always be met and that in every contract, there are certain procedures that need to be followed if a transfer is to take place.

He said the player has a contract up to the end of next year.

It is not the first time that Moyana is linked with a move to Rollers from Chiefs. Before he moved to Polokwane City, the player was reported to have signed with Rollers.

Chiefs insisted that the player belonged to them and he was eventually loaned to South Africa where he spent a season. The player is currently in the country and still to train with Chiefs since he has been on national duty.
