Five Khawa men face illegal hunting charges

Motsogedi Sephiri Velskoen, Piet Morongwa Velskoen, Hans Kassie, Lucas Bok and Jan Matthys are accused of hunting a partially protected game animal in 2012.
They are said to have committed the offence in a controlled hunting area in the Kgalagadi where they unlawfully hunted and killed a lion.
On the second count, they are accused of unlawful possession of arms. All the accused are out on bail while Hans Kassie is in custody for a different charge of poaching.
