Rheims heard Feine’s song online and immediately posted comments praising the 17-year-old Moeding student.

He told Showbiz this week that the youngster has ‘extraordinary musical talent’ hence the decision to do a bright and colourful album cover for free. “I like Feine because she is a power house sound and has extraordinary musical talent. She is great at expressing herself in her songs and has a presence that can captivate any audience. She is a true talent.  I thought an artist as captivating as she deserved a bright and brilliant cover that would truly represent her vibrant style and attitude that she works so hard to put into her work,” Rheims said. Her management company, Ampprez Productions, said the music starlet is an uncut diamond. “She needs to be nurtured.  We know she is going international. At 17, her vocals are so on point. This shows Botswana can produce electro musicians,” said Rheims.

The song is on rotation on local radio stations and has received lots of reviews on YouTube. She said her management team is in the process of opening an iTunes account.

Feine is thrilled by the attention she has recieved from some stranger from afar. A deal with Tanzania’s Swahili Digital International Distribution will also see her music sold on online platforms.

“They distribute through phones and ringtones. They heard the song and really liked it. So we have an agreement that they will put my music out online,” Feine said.

The teenage singer is convinced her musical talent is inherited from her parents who sing in the church choir. “I like dancing and love music that makes me move.  That’s electro.

I also do R’n’B Pop, that’s why I followed this through.  I dance a lot when im in the mood,” Feine explained her choice to do electro. She is not worried that electro may not be a popular genre in the country. “I am doing what I love and if people do appreciate it that will be awesome for me,” said the self-assured teenager.

Her next project is a six-track album, which she says is 90 percent done.  Apart from music, the Form Four student likes drawing and has had that second talent earning her praises from her peers.

Her ultimate dream is to take her music international. “I want to go international with my music.  I grew up listening to international music and that is where I draw my inspiration,” she said. Locally, she admires Sasa Klaas and Samantha Mogwe, while Beyoncé is mentioned several times during the interview as the one musicians she is always listening to.
