BSE appoints Sikalesele-Vaka as chairperson

According to a pres release, Sikalesele-Vaka is a corporate leader and is currently the founding CEO of Bramer Life Insurance, a joint venture with the Mauritian based conglomerate, British American Investment Company. She is also the founder of iNako Holdings, a citizen-owned financial services holding company.

She has accumulated a wealth of corporate governance experience as a Board Director in several listed blue Chip boards including Sechaba Breweries limited, Sefalana, Engen Botswana, Automated Security (G4S), FNB Botswana, FNB Foundation and Botswana Insurance Holdings Limited (BIHL).

Furthermore she has served as a board member of the MVA Fund, University of Botswana Council, the Insurance Advisory Council, BOCCIM and the High Level Consultative Forum. “Sikalesele-Vaka is driven by passion, willpower, sincerity to achieve excellence in all she does so as to provide inspiration to women and youth in Botswana and to promote the interests of her country” the press release stated According to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at BSE Thapelo Tsheole, O’Flaherty had served as a Chairperson for three years.

The other changes to the Main Committee include the appointment of Oosi Lemo, Martin Makgatlhe and Nelson Letshwene in place of Kabelo Mohohlo and Iponeng Sennanyana who retired. Presently other main committee members consists of Gregory Matsake as the vice Chairperson, Goitseone Kgaodi as the treasure and other members including Patrick O’Flaherty, Martin Makgatlhe, Oosi Lemo, Elaina Gonsalves, John Kiggundu and Nelson Letshwene.
